Paper Sale Chairman's Message
|
Dear Brother Nobles, Once again I’m very proud and humbled to be your Paper Sale Chairman. This year’s Paper Sale campaign may be a little taxing on all of us. With limits being placed on us from many Cities and Counties solicitations and funds will be a little harder to come by. We have lost through age and that dreaded Black Camel a lot of hard workers. This means we all have to work a little harder to make up for their loss. Look to your Blue Lodge and other volunteer organizations for their help. Remembering always it’s for the kids. As in just about every year the cost of care at our hospitals has gone up. Higher costs need to be addressed with new and different ways to raise money. Our best and less time consuming way is still through the Plaque Program. |

Our Poster Child this year is a very personal and energetic ten year old. He loves sports, and was very proud that in his school’s last game of the year he played quarterback for the last six seconds. Matthew was born with Spinal Bifida and has been in our system for over eight years. He continues to receive orthopedic, as well as neurological and urology care at our Lexington Hospital. Matthew is looking forward to representing Kerbela Shriners and its Nobles as your Poster Child in 2008. When you meet Matthew and you will, give him a big Kerbela welcome. Yours in the Faith,
Carl Vandiver
