Dear Fellow Nobles,

It is indeed a privilege to be Kerbela Shriners 2012 Paper Sale Chairman. Actually, I feel it is a privilege for every Shriner to have the opportunity to serve children in the way we do. It is also a great responsibility to provide the funds necessary to keep our 22 hospitals able to do the fine job they do. As I am sure you know it takes well over 2 million dollars a day to operate our hospitals. Although the costs continue to rise as technology improves, through the efforts of Nobles like you the job keeps getting done. Also, innovative changes such as third party pay (accepting insurance) and more outpatient services help to ease the crunch.Kerbela Shriners like you and all our Kerbela Nobles have shown year after 62 years that youwill continuously work hard to make YOUR Paper Sale a huge success.

Continuous is a key word for Kerbela’s Paper Sale. Each year’s Paper Sale starts the day the last Paper Sale ends. It is very important to start making your contacts as soon as possible and remember to contact retail location management early to put our name in first place to get spots for the sale.

Success depends on each of your efforts. You know the contributors that will help us help the kids. Please do the fine job you always do of preparing early. Another important opportunity is selling plaques. It is the easiest and fastest way to raise money for this cause. Be sure to remember last year’s contributors and everyone you know who might be a new contributor. We also need to remember all the volunteers we have helping us with the Paper Sale each year. There are many Blue Lodges, individual Masons, and others that help us. We need and greatly appreciate their hard work.

      Our shining star this year is a little boy named Mason. He is 5 years old and lives in Sevier County. He has been a Shriners HospitalsForChildren patient since he was 3 months old. Please welcome and support this special little man and all the other kids at our Hospitals. Thanks for ALL the efforts of ALL you great Nobles and others for ALLyou do!
